Kiwanis is an international organization providing SERVICE within the local communities and beyond. It is the SERVICE we emphasize and the FUN that we have that has made us a viable part of Woodland Hills and the surrounding area for over 55 years.....
As part of our activities we meet twice a month for lunch....The first and third Wednesday...at noon at the HOLIDAY INN, 21101 Ventura Blvd, Woodland Hills...The meeting on the first week, we invite an informative speaker or program to educate us or entertain us...
The SERVICE PROJECTS, Meetings, and other activities, gives us a chance to Network and Socialize with people we consider our friends!
Some of the Activites we provide and Charities we support are: *Pacific Lodge Boys Home *AAR Burn Foundation *Special Achievement Awards and Recognitions at local schools *Service Leadership Programs at Taft Hi, Chaminade College Prep, Woodlake Elem *High School Student Scholarships *Breakfast for American Cancer Society Relay for Life participants *Visits to a local senior center *Center for the Partially Sighted *Police Activity League, Community Police Advisory Board, and Police Youth groups *American Flags posted along local streets for patriotic holidays ....and so much more
We have fun too! We attend conventions...We schedule activities like movie nights, bowling nights, special celebrations...........

People ask all the time, "What is Kiwanis?" I think that can best be answered by telling you what we are NOT.
• Kiwanis is not a political organization - our members have different beliefs but we do not endorse any candidate or political issue.
• Kiwanis is not a religious organization - our members come from all faiths, yet we come together united in a desire to serve children.
• Kiwanis is not a fraternal organization - we do not have any secret rituals, no secret handshakes, no funny hats- but we do have a good time!
• Kiwanis members are people who you can trust and who you enjoy being around.
• Membership in Kiwanis does not build character...it reveals it!
